Alien VS. Predator
Yes, the movie sucked; but these toys are really sweet. They are made by McFarlane, which means decent poseability, decent accessories, and awesome paint apps. However, there were some quality issues. Read on to find out more.

Celtic Predator

This figure really jumped off of the shelf at me because of the packaging. It may be more work to have to cut your way to the figure, but I think it looks very nice. Anyway, to the figure. It has twenty one points at the: neck twice, pivoting and ball jointed shoulders, swiveling elbows, working mini-nuke device panel, wrists, flexing abdominal joint, waist, ball-jointed hips, swiveling mid-thighs, knees and two in each ankle. The best thing about the figure is the detail, and I must say that this figure is detailed beyond many other McFarlane figures in my collection. Three accessories are included with the Celtic Pred: The huge removable arm blades, A small knife that can be stored in a holster on his shin, and a Shuriken like the one used the movie. Another cool point I would like to raise about the figure is that the control panel on his wrist can open up. The thing that really brought down this figure's grade is its lack of durability.

Grid Alien

This figure is not really very different from previously released Alien figures, Except for a gash on its head like in the movie. There is not very much I can really say about this figure, it is articulated at the: Neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, ankles, and tail for a grand total of thirteen points. I really like the bendy tail thing as you can pose it in a good fighting position. Included with the figure is round and circular base. This Alien looks great posed fighting my Predators and other Alien figures on my shelf. I graded it this way simply because it is fairly boring, but nonetheless still an OK action figure.

Scar Predator

Scar Predator here is my favorite figure from the Alien VS. Predator movie. He includes the big arm blades again, a shin mountable knife, a spear, a mask, and a trophy necklace. The arm control panel opens as did the one on the Celtic Predator. One of the main reasons that this figure is my favorite is that you can take off the mask. I also like how this figure included the spear like in the movie; it looks so cool beating the tar out of an Alien figure. Now that I think about it, this is my favorite Predator figure ever made by McFarlane or Kenner. Here is the articulation: Neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, pectoral joints, chest, waist, hips, thighs, knees and ankles for a grand total of twenty one points. The figure also has that cool gun on his shoulder like in the movie. It can fold up on the figure's back when not in use. Overall, another fantastic figure from McFarlane. By the way, I do not give out many A+'s, this gives you a small idea of how great this figure is.

Battle Alien

The Battle Alien is pretty much the same figure as the Grid Alien except for a different head that does not have the battle damage. I prefer it to the Grid Alien because of this, it looks much better with the sleek head that the cut, bleeding one. The figure includes a coffin type thingie like in the movie. This is one of the figures that deserve to go on my my shelf, it is much more... I guess worthy than figures like Masters of the Universe. There is not much else to say about the Battle Alien. It comes in the same kind of packaging as all McFarlane figures currently being produced and has the same thirteen points of articulation as the grid Alien.

Elder Predator

The Elder Predator looks exactly like it did at the end of the movie. It includes the huge arm blades, a knife that can fit into the sheath on the Predator's shin, and a trophy necklace. Now I know that the arm blades may have looked a little silly at first, but now they are starting to grow on me. This figure does not come with a mask and does not have any really cool accessories, but it does have some nice looking blue dreadlocks and a cape. The figure is articulated at the neck, ankles, shoulders, waist, hips, elbows, wrists, pectoral joints, chest, thighs, and knees. The control panel on the Pred's left arm can open up and has a nice decal on the inside. Hmmm, not much else to say about this okay-but-plain figure. I would suggest picking up a nice Celtic or Scar Predator instead of the Elder because they have some really cool accessories and just seem plain better.
